Era of multiple PDP candidates over in Anambra — Ezeanuna

By Chimaobi Nwaiwu

THE controversy of the PDP fielding at least two candidates for elections in Anambra State will not arise in November, an aspirant on the platform of the party, Zeribe Ezeanuna has said. Ezeanuna in an interview also affirmed that the PDP has regained its status as the main opposition party in the state and is set to take over as the governing party in the state after the forthcoming election.

On the double candidature that has trailed the party’s participation in past elections in the state, Ezeanuna said “the amended constitution of the party has made it impossible for it to have double candidate in the Anambra governorship election coming up in November this year and I am optimistic that I will be the party’s flag bearer in the November election.

On how he is preparing to get the PDP ticket, he said “the challenge the people like me that live in Onitsha have is generating the money that is needed to finance a successful election, but what am doing is going around telling people of what am capable of doing and what I have in store for the state and many are responding positively, I am number one PDP aspirant in Anambra State now, am looking closely to my aspiration. I think that am the only David in the race, people are discovering it and PDP is discovering it, am beginning to feel that when the chips are down I will emerge the candidate of PDP.

Disclosing his programmes for Anambra State, he said that the present administration in the state is plan less, and has not tackled the issues that concerned the state, adding that it has derailed from the track and foundation laid by the immediate past administration of Mr. Peter Obi, but he will put the state back on track.
