The Director General on Media and Publicity to the Governor of Kogi State, Kingsley Fanwo has hailed the Kogi State ALGON Chairman and the Administrator of Ijumu Local Government Area, Alhaji Taofiq Isah, for “deepening democracy in Ijumu Local Government Area”.
Fanwo stated this while chatting with journalists in Lokoja, Monday, saying the leadership style of the ALGON Chairman is a “big plus to the APC-led administration in the state”.
“It is obvious that every politics is local. Hon. Taofiq Isah has shown that great leaders are in touch with the people. Hon. Isah has proven to be the voice of his people.
“Let me commend his recent tour of the Local Government Area when he took his time to give account of his stewardship and also avail himself of first hand information about the need of his people. His approach to leadership is in tandem with the New Direction Agenda of the present administration of thrusting the people at the centre of government policies and programs.
“I urge the ALGON Chief to keep touching lives at the grassroots as that is the essence of good governance “.
Fanwo said performing government officials have made the administration of Alh. Yahaya Bello more popular among the people despite the media campaign of calumny by “bitter opponents”.
