PORT HARCOURT – Hundreds of supporters of the All progressives Congress in Rivers State loyal to Sen. Magnus Abe has blocked members of the party’s national convention committee from exiting Novotel Hotel.

The supporters who stormed the hotel noted that the committee has refused to distribute the material meant for the election to the 23 LGAs and had written the results to favour a faction of the party.

Speaking, member representing Eleme/Tai/Oyibo Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Hon. Barinada Mpigi, who is among the leaders of the aggrieved members, noted that the delegate lists have been manipulated.

Mpigi said that until the national committee addresses the supporters on the development that they would not leave the hotel.
