Afro-tech Girls initiative summer camp

Gear up for fun this summer because African Girls in Science and Technology Initiative (Afro-Tech Girls)  is  hosting her inaugural Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) summer camp!

This camp is in conjunction with Dhack Institute and Energy Academy Limited as training partners.

Applications are now open for all Senior Secondary School Girls across Nigeria, academically talented in Science and Math Subjects, comfortable with the use of computers and interested in furthering your knowledge in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). Afro-Tech will be focusing on training and skills particularly on Robotics, Coding, and  Renewable Energy. This is a non-residential camp that will take place in Ikoyi, Lagos from August 8-10 2017 from 10am to 3pm and girls must have the consent of either a parent or guardian to participate in the summer camp.

Please note that transportation to and from the camp location will not be provided but food and all required materials (including Training kits, and  notebooks) will be taken care of. The STEM Summer Camp costs N15,000 (Fifteen Thousand Naira  Only), and there will be the opportunity for Public Secondary School Students to apply for full scholarships and reduced costing.

Our mission at Afro-Tech Girls is to encourage, educate and empower African girls of secondary and university levels in the STEM fields to follow through and achieve whatever goals they set for themselves through  mentorship, teamwork, creativity and innovation.
