OGONI – THE Ohworode of Olomu, HRM, Ovie, R. L. Ogbon, Ogoni-Oghoro I, (JP) OON, who was honoured with the Order Of the Niger, OON, by the Nigerian Government, again has bagged the Doctor of Philosophy, (PhD) degree, Honoris Clausa of the Delta State University, Abraka.

The 100 years old king will be formally presented with the degree on 28th July, 2017 during the convocation ceremony at the University campus.

The ecstatic centugenerian made the announcement at Ogoni Olomu while conferring titles on 11 new Chiefs at his palace at Ogoni Olomu weekend.

“I am happy to announce to you that I will be conferred with the honorary PhD degree by the Delta State University this month.

“This is good news and I want to commend the University Council for finding me worthy of the honour. Olomu people are happy and more good things will come.”
