Bashar lauds port police on operational efficiency

The Tincan Island Command of Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, has commended the Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP Toyin Agbaminoja, the outgoing Divisional Police Officer, DPO, Roro Port Police Division, Tincan Island for operational efficiency in handling security issues within the port in the last two years.

The Customs Area Controller, CAC, of Tincan, Comptroller Bashar Yusuf, represented by DC Enforcement, DC Nnadi Dera, said this, at the send forth ceremony organised for  Agbaminoja, by all stakeholders in the port, in Lagos.

According to him, Agbaminoja fondly called Mama Peace who has just been promoted to the rank of ACP, made outstanding performance in partnering with Customs and other stakeholders in the port to ensure a crime free environment.

Also speaking, the new DPO, CSP Sani Shuaibu, who took over from Agbaminoja described her as a hard working and competent officer who was able to handle all security issues in the port, despite the complex port environment. “She  did very well and my team will continue to build on the structures she put in place to ensure total compliance with the  executive order of 24 hours port operations”, he stressed.

Some of the stakeholders who turned out in large number to honour the officer include members of Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA), who gave her award of excellence, the staff of Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA, Customs, ASP Omolola Odutola, police officers and the media.
