The acting president of Isoko youth agenda IYA, comrade Sebastine Agbefe, yesterday at  Oleh the headquarters of Isoko South local government area of Delta State, called on president Muhammadu Buhari to consider a descendant of Isoko nation whenever there is need for cabinet reshuffling to compensate the Isoko people for their peaceful disposition towards multinational co operations operating in Isoko land.   Agbafe said that the Isoko nation which is strategically located in Delta State and Bayelsa State, has been suffering diverse injustice and marginalization from both federal and state government.

The acting president of IYA explained that since the second Republic till date, no son or daughter of the Isoko nation either from Bayelsa State or Delta State has been considered for a federal ministerial position, despite the uninterrupted flow of crude oil and natural gas from 7 oil fields in OML 26 and 30, covering an area of 2.15 sq/km of land mass and an average production of 300,000 barrels per day in Isoko land.
Agbafe mentioned that irrespective of the neglect and marginalization of the Isoko nation, the people have not resort to violence against the national asset that are residing in their land.

He reiterated that, the vice president has not visited the Isoko nation in the ongoing Federal government engagement with stakeholders in Niger Delta. However  the acting president of  IYA, noted that the Isoko nation do not have to participate in criminal activities like kidnapping of expatriates, pipeline vandalism and illegal bunkering before being considered for appointment into the federal executive council or federal government infrastructural/developmental plan .He equally added that the crude oil facilities residing in Isoko nation was single handedly sustaining the economy during the Niger Delta avengers’ period.
