Senator Nelson Effiong representing Eket senatorial district on  the platform of People Democratic Party, PDP,  who recently defected to All Progressives Congress, APC,  has chided the leadership of the party in the state for lack of knowledge of constitutional matters.

Responding to threats by the Akwa Ibom State chapter of the PDP, to recall him from the Senate,  Effiong told Vanguard  on arrival at Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Oron jetty, his first visit to his community after defection, that those pushing for his recall were jesters.

According to him: “I have heard PDP leaders in the state talk about that. The problem is that we have a lot of people in the party who are not really knowledgeable in principles of    law, that is why they wake up from their slumber and talk about recalling me from the Senate, that is not possible.”
