Cross River State governor, Prof. Ben Ayade, has ordered payment of January salary to the state workers.

The governor gave the directive through a statement issued yesterday by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Chief Press Secretary, Mr Christian Ita.

Ita said the directive was in line with the governor’s promise to continue to place premium on workers welfare.

It will be recalled that the governor paid December salary to workers in the state on 1st of December 2016 to enable them prepare for the yuletide season.
