Distinguished colleagues, let me use this opportunity to thank all of us for the bipartisan manner in which we have continued to carry on our legislative duties; the togetherness, commitment and resolve exhibited so far and the bipartisan support extended to the Executive towards anticorruption and the implementation of the Treasury Single Account (TSA), which has brought some sanity in the revenue system, to the approval of the 2015-2018 Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) and Fiscal Strategy as well as the passage of the 2015 Supplementary Appropriation Act.

Obama announces suspension of South Africa from trade benefits

Hiding in toilet, burglar calls police for help
A frightened burglar in Sweden called police on Tuesday after hiding in the toilets of a pizzeria to escape the wrath of its owner, police said. An alarm at the restaurant, in the eastern Swedish city of Uppsala, alerted the owner to the ongoing break-in at around 3:15 am (0215 GMT).
Psychiatric test to be conducted on serving Policemen, recruits – IGP
The Inspector-General of Police (I-G), Mr Solomon Arase, has said that the Nigeria Police Force is considering conducting psychiatric test on recruits and serving officers. Arase stated this at the Nigeria Police Force Health Policy Revalidation meeting in Abuja on Tuesday. He said that the initiative became necessary following incidents of indiscriminate use of firearms by personnel of the force.
