Osun Poly Mass Communication Alumni holds AGM Dec. 17

The Mass Communication Alumni of Osun State Polytechnic (MAOS), Iree, says it will hold the 5th series of its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Dec. 17.

This is contained in a statement signed by the Publicity Secretary of the association, Mr Adesegun Salako, on Sunday in Abuja.

The statement said that the 2016 AGM would hold in Ibadan at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Press Centre, Iyaganku.

According to the statement, this year’s edition would feature a keynote speech tagged: “Economic Recession and The Challenges of Objective Reportage”.

The statement said the Publisher of PM Parrot Newspaper and Parrot Xtra Magazine, Mr Yinka Agboola, would be the Guest Speaker at the occasion.

It said that the event would also be used to raise funds for a development project of “Radio OSPOLY’’ planned for the Department of Mass Communication of the school.

According to the statement, this is the first time the AGM will be holding outside Osun and that all previous editions were held in Osogbo.

It said that the occasion would also reunite many members who had lost touch for years since graduation.

“MAOS membership cuts across different graduated sets from the Mass Communication department of the school.

“The objective is to foster unity and help each other grow; the association is duly registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission,” the statement added.
