Lagos—A 40-year-old Manager of YSR Company Ltd., Adedayo Alabi, has been arraigned before a Lagos Magistrate’s Court at Igbosere, for allegedly stealing N11 million from the company.
The defendant is standing trial for a three-count charge of conspiracy, theft and impersonation.
The prosecutor, Eshiet Eshiet, told the court that the defendant committed the alleged offence in October at Badagry area of Lagos State.
According to him, Alabi presented himself as the owner of YSR Company and also obtained the N11 million under false pretence.
According to the prosecutor, the offence is punishable under Section 409, 312 and 278 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
However, the defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge and the Magistrate B. A. Sonuga granted him bail in the sum of N5 million with two sureties in like sum.
The case was adjourned to January 1 for mention.
