ABUJA- STRONG indications emerged Saturday that once, the National Assembly resumes from break in January may revisit the law setting up the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC to ensure that particularly the qualification of the helmsman was addressed.

Meantime, following Senate’s rejection of the confirmation of acting Chairman of EFCC, Ibrahim Magu on Thursday as a substantive chairman of the commission because of the very damming report from the Department of State Security Service, DSS, fresh lobby has begun in the Presidency on who occupies the position.

Vanguard gathered that there are already suggestions from top Presidency officials and close associates of President Muhammadu Buhari that the President should look beyond the police in making a new nomination.
