Niger probes Suleja council boss, vice on allegation of corruption

Minna—Niger State governor, Alhaji Abubakar Bello, has inaugurated a three-man committee to investigate allegations of financial misappropriation, high handedness and other allegations levelled against Chairman of Suleja Local Government Area, Alhaji Ahmed Dikko, and his Vice, Alhaji Abdullahi Maajin, who have already been suspended by the legislative arm of the council after its internal preliminary investigations.

The three-man committee is headed by Justice Musa Abdul of the state High Court and is expected to finish its assignment within two weeks.

Leader of the legislative arm of the council, Abdullahi Abubakar, is to serve as the council’s interim chairman.

The governor urged the committee members to tackle the assignment with sincerity.
