Two suspects, Tasiu Mohammed and Saidu Mohammed, both of Bukuru, Jos South local government area of Plateau State, who allegedly stabbed and killed a yet to be identified person, took his N10, 000 and dumped his body in a well, have been arrested.
The suspects and another, Stephen Luka, who claimed to have killed his girlfriend’s elder sister, Simi, at Tudun Wada area of Jos North local government area “due to anger” and inflicted machete cuts on his pregnant girlfriend, Justina, were among 32 suspects paraded for various forms of suspected crimes by the state commissioner of police, Peter Ogunyanwo.
There were also five suspects who allegedly invaded the family compound of a footballer, Ogenyi Onazi at the Utan area of Jos North and robbed his father, Onazi Wilson, of a Toyota Highlander valued at N2.7million.
The CP disclosed that one of the suspects is a neighbour to the family of Onazi, who allegedly helped the armed men to the compound and urged Plateau residents to step up neighbourhood security by providing information to security personnels to help track criminals.
