Sapele—A septuagenarian in Sapele, Delta State, Mrs, Philomena Oghumu, who was duped by her bankers, a first generation bank at Kings Square Branch, Benin City,  has sent an SOS to President Muhammadu Buhari, to prevail on the bank, to pay her a judgment of N2,202,900 being the amount awarded in her favour by an Edo State High Court sitting in Benin.

The court had,   in its judgment in the suit  by Mrs Oghumu against the bank and three of its officials, said she had been duped of the sum of N202,900 by the bank and its officials, on May 4  and 5, 2010, respectively and awarded the same amount in her favour as special damages as what she suffered.

Also, the court awarded N2 million as   general damages against the bank and its three officials, having found them culpable of negligence and lack of reasonable care to the claimant, Mrs. Philomena Oghumu.

In his judgment, trial Judge, Justice  Acha said,  ‘’I hold that the claimant has proved her claims on the balance of probability. She has been duped and she is accordingly entitled to judgment.
