ONDO POLL: S’West APC wades into crisis

controversy currently rocking the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ondo State on the selection of the governorship candidate for the forthcoming election, several chieftains of the party, including state chairmen in the South West have risen from an emergency meeting, where they took a decision that Mr. Isaac Kekemeke has no role whatsoever to play in the process and conduct of any primary election that would produce the party’s governorship candidate.
This was contained in a statement signed by Chairmen from Lagos, Ogun, Osun, Ekiti and Oyo States, Otunba Henry Oladele Ajomale, Alhaji Roqeeb Adeniji, Prince Gboyega Famodun, High Chief Jide Awe and Chief Akin Oke, respectively.
The party, through its zonal Publicity Secretary, Mr. Ayo Afolabi said the crisis would be settled in a way that all parties would be happy, noting that APC as a responsible party holds all its members in high esteem.
According to the party, the national secretariat of the party is saddled with the responsibility of selecting the team to conduct the primary.
Meanwhile, former Minister of power and Steel, Dr Olu Agunloye has emerged the governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP.
