Carrying title “pastor” doesn’t tell us your heart – Oshiomhole
Over two thousand Urhobo and Anioma natives of Delta State resident in Edo State have thrown their weight behind the candidature of Mr. Godwin Obaseki for the September 10, 2016 Governorship election.
Women are not supposed to be ‘playing the field!’
When a long-term relationship dies—this by the way includes marriage—the hurting partners need enough time to grieve so they won’t burn their fingers twice by jumping into new relationships. We all felt sorry for Mac, a cherished friend, when his wife left him. Usually, it’s the man who kicks out his partner, and no amount of trying to patch up the relationship would shift him, but this time around, the shoe is on the other foot, and we couldn’t make Mac’s wife change her mind anyway; she was already abroad with her new-found love and a pregnancy she had whilst still married to Mac!

New Coach of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr will reportedly be earning the sum of N18.6m ($47, 000) per month. Earlier in the month, Rohr signed a two-year contract with the Nigerian Football Federation to be the Technical Adviser of the Super Eagles.
RIO: The true story of Delta Airline’s gesture to Olympic Eagles
Next thing, I got a call from Delta Airline’s Leadership team stating they were looking for a plane but no promises yet. They then called back and said they found a plane that would leave at 8.00am and be in Manaus at 2.00 pm (five hours before their game) and that the plane would come in from Cincinnati, Ohio and there was a crew on standby.
Why Anenih is fighting me – Edo traditional ruler
Anenih is not a traditional ruler and as such he was advised not to dabble into matters concerning the traditional institution. My being the first Vice chairman is by the blessing of the traditional rulers in the state after Esan traditional rulers have nominated me. So it is not Anenih’s making. He should not drag us into politics and he should mind his business. The 29 traditional rulers that endorsed Godwin Obaseki of the APC in Esan land have already reaffirmed their decision and it is irrevocable. We did that because we have never had it so good in Edo state until Oshiomhole’s APC came.
Petrochemicals and adventurous diversification expedition
John Sculley a U.S. businessman, entrepreneur and investor in high-tech startups in this technology quote said ‘’We try to picture what the products will be and then say, what technology should we be working on today to help us get there?’’ That should be the spirit in finding solutions to complex problems but who leads the symphony orchestra? That is our failing and melancholy as a nation.
Pastor Adeboye and the Maelstrom
Every father owes his children a little marriage talk. Fears and idiosyncrasies, regrets and dreams , magic and blunders will intermingle. Political correctness won’t feature. The father wants for them – a head start. If the father thinks marriage is blissful but sacred , and divorce is a catastrophic last resort , his wisdom would be cautionary. Age sees beyond the shimmer of youth . It has witnessed the death of too many fantasies. Old eyes may dim from wear but the benefit of retrospection makes the old, despite its tears, more reliable. Hindsight ,they say, is perfect vision.
An obvious misfit
The traditional visit to Aso Rock had not yet been made before this was written. We hope it would include all the journalists who fed us with those juicy news items from Rio 2016. In actual fact, there was not so much juice in what could be sent home about Nigeria, though we heard about the twenty-something medals of Phelps and the “triple-triple” of Bolt. We did not prepare for the performances that produce such results, and we all know that. There had been other times when good fortune gave us what we did not really deserve, but this was not one of them.
