Resolve to end this year better

By Funmi Komolafe

Brethren, it’s the second half of the year. Thank God that you are still alive and when you look back, you’ll see uncountable reasons to Him, even if you are yet to achieve your desired goal. What is the goal that you so much desire which has remained elusive? Is it a desire to secure a good job and have a joyful home? Are you aiming to have very good results in that professional examination that you have tried over and over again. Is yours    a desire to getting married, is yours to have more children or even a desire to have a particular gender of a baby? Are you expecting a boom in your business? Or have you been struggling with the challenge of a sick child or even one that is going off track?    Are    you a victim of a conspiracy in the family, workplace or even in the church?

Don’t give up. Remember Luke 1 vs.37 “ For with God nothing shall be impossible”.Whatever the situation is, God can fight for you. Isaiah 41 verse 10 assures: It is written “ Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness”. Further assurance is given in verse 11 of Isaiah 41 “ Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish”.

However, while asking the Lord to intervene on our behalf, we must do no evil. Even in circumstances where we know who is behind our problems, physical or spiritual, it is not our duty to fight for ourselves or create unnecessary enemies. Spiritual warfare- I’ll narrate the experience of a lady who has been trusting God for the fruit of the womb for years. She was always having dreams of people have intercourse with her in the dream.    This spiritual evil activity not only prevented her from having children, it created a distance between her and her husband. In such a situation, how will she ever get pregnant? Of course, pregnancy remained elusive.

After series of prayers it was revealed that three women; her close relations were the ones behind this spiritual challenge.    Ordinarily, she would have concluded that they were men but the Holy Spirit revealed their identities as women. These were very close relations that she could never think of breaking away from. So, she kept them at a distance, relating to them not too closely but intensified her prayers.

After a while our God that is more than Conqueror intervened and she had a dream in which the main actors; two of them were seen faced down. She didn’t understand what it meant but she asked her pastor and was told that the enemies have surrendered. Within a short time, she had a baby boy. This season, by the grace of the Almighty God all enemies and unfriendly friends working against your progress will surrender to the power of God and victory will be yours in Jesus name.

Ending this year better –  True, you have been through six months of 2016 without your miracle, you can still end this year with that miracle. How do I know? Let’s learn from the sermon of Pastor J.T. Kalejaye of RCCG.  He made reference to Isaiah 55 vs. 8 and 9 “ For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts”. God is simply telling us not to lose hope.We may be looking towards a particular direction or even at a particular time but the Lord is unlimited in the manifestation of miracles.

Remember, sometimes God reserves the best till the end.Declare to yourself “ My latter end will be better than the beginning”. You can build up your confidence with the word of God. Mark 9 vs 23 “ And Jesus said unto him,If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth”. This emphasis the fact that we need to have faith.    We can raise up the level of our faith by listening to sermons on tapes, reading the Holy Bible and attending church programmes .      All of these work together to bring in our desired miracles.

Bear in mind, the words of Pastor J.T. Kalejaye “ When you do God’s will, He will do your own wish”. Reverend Sunday Awe urges Christians to remember that“God visits suddenly and then the story of your life will change . Testimony  -As usual, I will share with you the testimony of a lady who was married with a child and her in-laws waged war against her.    Note , it was not her husband but her in laws. They openly called her a gold digger who was only out to take over their brother’s property. To them, it didn’t matter that she had a son.

The war was so intense but she resolved to stay put. What are you going through? The lesson here is quite clear.Never submit to the enemy whoever they are.    Before long, they began to put pressure on the husband to take another wife but the man was wiser. He resolved not to. Madam on her part intensified her prayers.    To the glory of God, she had a baby girl that looked so much like her father. So they could not start a rumour that she bought the baby. She had kept them at a distance and they did not see her through out the pregnancy period.

On the day of the naming ceremony, they were so stunned. They could not eat.  In this season, the Lord will shut the mouth of your enemies forever in the mighty name of Jesus. As we progress in the second half of this year, bear in mind that your action must provoke the divine unction for your miracles to manifest. Fear not, this is the season of the manifestation of your miracle. Remain steadfast and continue to thank God even for the miracle that has not manifested physically. The Lord Jesus will surprise you.

A Divine turn around is imminent. Continue to pray without ceasing. Remember the word of God “ Men ought to pray and not to faint”.It applies to women too. Consider not your mockers; those who laugh at you. Very soon, they will laugh with you in the  mighty name of Jesus.

Have a blessed week.
