Onuigbo said that Nwosu was committing political suicide and urged him to retrace his step, adding “I advise him in the interest of his political career.”

Describing Nwosu as a prodigal son, the Abia PDP chairman said however that the party would receive him back if he changes his mind as going forward would amount to “committing political suicide.”

Onuigbo said that Nwosu participated in the congresses held in the state and did not make any complaint and wondered why he described the congresses as a sham.

Though he described the two tenure lawmaker in the state as “a political liability,” Onuigbo said he lost his ward in the whole of the 2015 elections but said they would forgive him and accommodate him because “he is our brother.”

Nwosu had said that the congresses which produced Chief Johnson Onuigbo as the State Chairman did not follow the tenets of democratic ideals, hence could not stand.

But Onuigbo warned that if Nwosu did not retrace his steps, the party would fight and disown him “because forming a parallel group means fighting us and we will not fold our hands. We will fight back. We will disown him if he continues. There is no faction in Abia PDP.”
