Godwin Obaseki

Two of the leading APC aspirants, Mr. Ken Imasuangbon, and Godwin Obaseki were yesterday locked in a war of words over the purchase of PVCs.
Mr. Imansuagbon kicked off the war with his allegation that Obaseki who he claimed was being sponsored by Governor Adams Oshiomhole had mopped up the PVCs of delegates with the intention of passing them over to thugs to vote on the day of primaries.
Imansuagbon, popularly referred to as Rice Man, thus charged original party leaders to ensure that other forms of identification were introduced to sift out thugs masquerading as delegates.
Imansuagbon was immediately countered by Obaseki, who accused him, Imansuagbon, of attempting to use money to buy up the delegates. Obaseki represented by his campaign manager; Mr. Osarodion Ogie threw back the allegation at Imansuagbon saying that the latter was also buying up delegates to rig the election.
Meanwhile, Imansuagbon has charged the governor to speak up on the issue of purchase of PVCs.
“I was the first to raise the alarm on the purchase of PVCs, and I am wondering why as the Chief Security Officer the governor has not condemned it or spoken on it.
“Why has he not condemned it? I am calling on the party leadership not to use the PVCs only for identification of delegates; rather they should employ other means of identification to ensure that only genuine delegates are accredited.
So, I am appealing to all delegates to insist on having their PVCs. They should not mortgage their conscience to this pot of porridge which will draw Edo State backward. The world can now see that the democracy here is worse than that of Nazi Germany.
