2 labourers docked over alleged theft of 1,473 litres of diesel
Two labourers, who allegedly stole 1,473 litres of diesel valued at N191,490 from their employer were on Thursday arraigned in an Apapa Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos. The accused- Sunday Akintade,35, and Adeyoju Oluwayemi, 37, who reside in Apapa area of Lagos Sate, are facing a two-count charge of conspiracy and stealing. The Prosecutor, Insp. Tony Elibeh, told the court that the accused persons committed the offences on April 24 at SPG Depot, Olodi Apapa, Lagos.

No group will illegally occupy Nigerian communities under my watch- Arase
Mr Solomon Arase, the Inspector-General of Police, on Thursday assured that no group will overrun the country or illegally occupy any part of it under his watch as the Chief Police Officer. Arase gave the assurance in Abuja at a public hearing on the influx of herdsmen to Benue, organised by the House of Representatives’ Committee on Police Affairs. He said the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) have so far arrested 18 people in connection with the attacks in Benue communities.
