BENIN CITY-DEPUTY Governor of Edo State and governorship aspirant of All Progressives Congress, APC, has called other aspirants in the forthcoming governorship election, to ensure a violent free campaign.
This came as political leaders from Owan West Local Government Area of the state, expressed their support for Mr Godwin Obaseki, another APC governorship aspirant. The leaders who described as unfortunate, the recent shooting at Sobe, where the aspirant went to meet with APC delegates, said they had made adequate arrangement to ensure peaceful campaigns in their domain and apologized over the ugly incident.
Odubu who addressed members of the Condemn Political Killings and Violence, led by Eseosa Ewere, said he was happy with the on-going sensitization embarked upon by the group, adding that he has always believed that no blood of any one was worth the ambition of any politician.
“So I urge my brothers in this game to shun violence because when you kill, who will you now lead? I want us to take this message to all parts of our state and tell our youths not to allow any individual deceive them into being involve in any violent act this period,” he stated.
