Don’t shed blood over election, Gov aspirant urges Edo people

BENIN—AHEAD of the   September 10, 2016 governorship election in Edo State, a governorship aspirant on the platform of All Progressives Congress, APC, Mr. Peter Esele has said that the blood of any person in Edo State was not worth shedding during the forthcoming election.

Esele, in Benin, yesterday, while receiving members of Edo Citizens Against Political Violence and Killing, condemned political killings/violence in any election and advised youths in the state not to allow anybody to use them as political thugs.

He counselled them to shun all evil vices and must be prepared at all times to take over the leadership of the country as the future belongs to them.

The former Trade Union Congress, TUC, President, who expressed his support for the activities of the group, advised them to continue to preach the gospel of non-violence to all politicians and their political parties in the state.
