EVEN as the House Committee on Sports announced that the much celebrated invitation of former Super Eagles Coach, Sunday Oliseh earlier scheduled for tomorrow has been shifted till after the 2017 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) between Nigeria and Egypt, we can reveal that the shift is because Oliseh was not enthusiastic about the hearing.

Many analysts were surprised when the news broke out that the lawmakers had invited Oliseh to find out what led to his resignation, a development that they argued showed  bias since the former Super Eagles captain was not the first coach to have left the national team.

A reliable source at the secretariat of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) told Sports Vanguard exclusively that Oliseh had written a letter to the federation saying he was not interested in the hearing because he has moved on with his life.

“I know that the House Committee has announced the postponement of the meeting with Oliseh. I also know  that the same Oliseh has sent a letter to the NFF last Monday stating that he is not coming because he has decided to move on with his life and I am sure that he may have sent the same letter to the National Assembly.

“So that may have resulted in the talk of shifting the meeting till after the Super Eagles matches with Egypt this month. After all they knew about the matches before inviting Oliseh” our source added.

Many people believe that the sudden invitation of Oliseh by the lawmakers was engineered by some forces who think that they can force the football house to keep the coach at all cost.
