Speaking in Warri, Johnny decried the political killings in the state and urged both parties involved to end same now in the interest of the peace.

Johnny, who is the Chairman of Egbema Gbaramatu Communities Development Foundation, noted that he was worried over the unabated politically motivated killings in Rivers State, saying that enough was enough.

According to him, there is no political position worth dying for. He, therefore, appealed to politicians in the state to love one another and go about the re-run elections peacefully.

His words: “I am saddened by the politically motivated killings in Rivers State. The forthcoming re-run elections in that state should not be seen as a do or die affair. There is no political position worth dying for. The Rivers State people are one people and so they must not allow politics to bring division among them.”

He urged the youths in the state not to allow themselves to be used as instruments of violence by disgruntled politicians, adding, “Our politicians are busy killing the people in Rivers State and if they should kill everybody, who are they going to rule at the end of the day?”
