S-COURT JUDGMENT: ‘Ignore Chris Uba, others’
FOLLOWING last week’s judgment by the Supreme Court over the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Anambra State, the National Assembly has been called upon not to listen to Chief Chris Uba and others claiming that they have been cleared to take over as elected federal lawmakers.
When the father is the rapist!
Why would a father rape his own child? Why would an uncle rape his niece? Is it true that when a man marries a woman who already has a teenage girl, he is actually targeting the teenage girl? According to rape survivors, the worst form of abuse that any woman can deal with is rape. If not properly and professionally handled, the survivor becomes psychologically traumatized, at times suicidal. Where the perpetrator is a family member, someone trusted, with an obligation to protect and care for the survivor, it becomes even more traumatic.
Igbo not marginalised in Buhari’s govt – APC stalwart
UMUAHIA—A CHIEFTAIN of the ruling All Progrssives Congresss, APC, in Abia State, Dr. Ephraim Iroakazi has come in defence of President Muhammadu Buhari over the allegation that he has marginalized Igbo people, saying that the President has so far given Ndigbo what was due to them. Speaking to reporters in Umuahia, Iroakazi said that President Buhari has not in any way sidelined the Igbo so far.

Small-holder rice farmers lament
MANY people might not have been to the sleepy town of Ofada in Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State, but once Ofada is mentioned they link it to the Ofada rice enjoyed by many in Nigeria and beyond. Ofada is a generic name used to describe all rice produced and processed in the rice producing clusters of South-West Nigeria. But all that might be a thing of the past if care is not taken as the people of the town are gradually abandoning rice cultivation due to the challenges of urbanisation, quality planting materials, seed and markets.
