That project may be dumb but our politicians make Boigny a visionary.

The Executive Secretary, Kogi State Universal Basic Educa-tion, SUBEB, Mallam Nuhu Ahmed has said that the change mantra of the Federal Government will amount to nullity if the quality of teachers in the educational sector is not enhanced. Ahmed stated this yesterday in Lokoja at a five-days training for quality assurance officers organised by the Universal Basic Educa-tion Commission, UBEC and the state SUBEB with the theme: “Strength-ening the Capacity of Quality Assurance officers for Improved Quality Delivery”.

Nurses should never look at the monetary gains when it is not so. I wish to appeal to Nigerian nurses to be kind to patients because we, as human beings, are all patients. Kindness to patients contributes to the healing process. A nurse must try to put up a smile even when he or she is tired and unhappy.

The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC had penultimate Sunday cancelled the rescheduled poll in the volatile council area declaring that it was substantially marred by violence, ballot box snatching and kidnapping of electoral officers.
