COUNTRY Director of UNAIDS, Mr Bilali Camara, Friday said 3.4million Nigerians are living with HIV/AIDS virus in Nigeria and in 2014 alone 60,000 children were infected. Camara made this disclosure during a courtesy visit to the Majority Leader of the House of Representatives, Hon Femi Gbajabiamila.

GOVERNOR Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State has asserted that Nigerian’s economy cannot survive without Nigerians coming together to stamp out corruption. Governor Ugwuanyi commended members of various organized labour groups in the state who were at the Government House, Enugu on a solidarity rally in support of the federal government in its war against corruption, adding that the exercise is a worthy course.

I think that fear is palpable because of activities that have been set in the past in the development of democracy in Nigeria, there is this fear that President Muhammadu Buhari who is a product of the APC can most likely use his position as the President of Nigeria to influence judgments in the various tribunals in favour of APC elected officials whose elections are virtually in the courts and in the tribunals.

Buhari’s first attempt failed in 1985 . Unbridled zeal and passion dominated sensitivity and discretion. An innate obsession for rectitude and order propelled by youth and absolute military powers would suffer no debilitation from political calculations and compromises. He failed to temper perhaps ill digested idealism with cold realism.

The Buhari Government recently celebrated its hundred days in office, if celebration is the word. The ruling administration was certainly not in a celebratory mood. It claimed it was in for a marathon; not a hundred meter dash and did everything to discourage any rolling out of drums.

We don’t want to put any value on the 23 hectare farmland we are cultivating but we can only ask Nigerians to watch out for us in the next few months and years. So, I have sunk in over N1.5 million into the farm and we are still putting in more to move it to the level we want it to attain in the shortest possible time. We are currently concentrating on Soya beans and fish farming. We hope to add more crops and services.
