Community to Bayelsa govt: We‘ll demonstrate our anger at the polls
AKENPIA—AKENPIA community in Yenagoa Local Government Area, Bayelsa State has written-off the Bayelsa State Government for allegedly neglecting the town, promising that the people would demonstrate their anger at the polls. Acting paramount ruler of Akenpia, Chief Saviour Obi, who spoke to Niger Delta Voice, lamented the total lack of government infrastructure in the community, saying parents have withdrawn their children from the only primary school in the town because there was no road and teachers.
2 docked for stealing N1.3m valuables
A 35-year-old unemployed, Sunday Awoyemi, and a businessman, Rokeeb Eniafe, 30, were, yesterday, docked before a Tinubu Chief Magistrates Court on Lagos Island for allegedly stealing a bag containing valuables worth N1.3million.
