Yemisi Alatise, elected Int’l Inner Wheel President

Mrs. Oluyemisi Alatise has been elected unopposed the first African International Inner Wheel President for the year 2016/2017.   She was elected by over 3,500 clubs in 100 countries of Inner Wheel world-wide.

Yemisi joined Inner Wheel Club of Lagos in 1978. As President of the Club in Lagos, she initiated the Children’s Transit Centre for Lost but Found Children at Idi-Araba (the home currently houses over 60 children with an average of 15 children turn-over).

She became the District Chairman in 1995/1996 when the foundation of the Vocational Training Centre for District 911 was laid. The Training Centre was commissioned by the International Inner Wheel president.

She was elected the National Representative/President for National Governing Board of Inner Wheel Clubs in Nigeria in 2008/2009 after serving at various executive positions.

Oluyemisi was elected a Board Director in 2010/2011, and elevated Vice President in 2014/15. She will assume the mantle of the Club for 2016/2017.

Yemisi made her mark internationally through her activities in Inner Wheel Nigeria and in other countries.
