ENUGU—An undergraduate of Geology, University of Port-Harcourt, Rivers State, Paul Chidozie,26, last Sunday, bagged a PhD scholarship following a text message he sent to the Leader, Enugu State House of Assembly, Mr. Ikechukwu Ezugwu. In the last three years, Ezugwu had marked his birthday on November 24, with award of scholarships to indigent students of various tertiary institutions in the country.

THE umbrella body for senior public servants in the country, Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria, ASCSN, yesterday in Lagos, accused the state governors of using the threat to reduce the N18,000 minimum wage or reduce the workforce to avoid entering into negotiation with organised labour for the upward review of the National Minimum Wage as required by law.
