OWERRI—Lack of basic infrastructure in the industrial areas and issues of multiple taxation, are giving the Manufact- urers Association of Nigeria, MAN, sleepless nights.

The President of MAN, Dr. Frank Jacobs, who stated this, yesterday, in Owerri, while flagging off the 28 Annual General Meeting of Imo/Anambra Branch of MAN, equally lamented that the ugly situation was assuming a worrisome proportion.

“The lack of basic infrastructure in the industrial areas and issues of multiple taxation have assumed a worrisome proportion. We hope that the governments of Abia and Imo states, would take bold steps to redress these challenges and pave way for development of the manufacturing sector in the two states,” Dr. Jacobs said.
