22 candidates set for Kogi governorship

LOKOJA— The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has released the names of 22 governorship candidates and their running mates for the November 21 governorship election in the state.

Prominent among the gubernatorial candidates are the incumbent, Idris Wada, of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and Prince Abubakar Audu of All Progressives Congress, APC.

Also in the list is the immediate past deputy governor of the State, Dr. Philip Salawu of Labour Party, LP; Isah Kamadeen, AA; Dickson Fred, Accord Party; Ukwenya Musa, ACD; Michael Abdullahi, AD; Usman Zainab, ADC; Odufu Friday, APA; Akwu Goodman, APGA; Yinka Oloruntoba, CPP; Philip Koleola, DPC; Abubarka Ibrahim, DPP; Ibrahim Adejoh, ID and Raji Ogrima, KOWA.

Others governorship flag-bearers are Mohammed Dangana, NCP; Mallam Abdul Hussien, NNPP; Emmanuel Daikwo, PDC; Emmanuel Ozigi, PPA; Dr. Oju Hussein, PPN; Enema Paul, SPD and Saadu Mukailu of UDP.

INEC also disclosed that arrangements for a credible, free and fair election were already in top gear for the conduct of November 21 governorship in Kogi State.

INEC had recently released the soft copy of the voters register to all registered parties in the state.
