The Rector of Evangel Faith Theological Seminary, Mafoluku, Oshodi Lagos, Professor Johnson Olatunde has said that any nation that justifies gay marriage as an acceptable lifestyle is in its final stages of moral corruption.
Professor Olatunde who spoke at the Minister’s Leadership Conference organised by Evangel Faith International Mission, EFIM, to equip church leaders on how to understand God’s purpose for excellence lamented that gay marriage and other negative things are happening all over the world because people are no longer committed and connected to God.
He said, “unfortunately, even Christians in Western countries have allowed gay marriage to creep into their folds.
“What we see these days is not worth emulating. This is what Jesus Christ had explained to us as signs of the end. But as members of the clergy, our prayer today is that the clergy in Nigeria will be steadfast to ensure that the glory of God does not departed from us.”
He expressed optimism that President Muhammadu Buhari will perform well drawing from his experience as a former leader.
He said: “Buhari is not Nigeria’s President by his powers, but because of the intercessions and prayers of God’s people.
” It’s our genuine prayer that the Lord will perfect his excellence for this nation through President Buhari.’’
