Gunmen abduct one in Patani

PATANI—EXACTLY three weeks after the release of three staff of a construction company working in Patani Local Government Area of Delta State, gunmen on Monday at about 3:45pm, stormed Patani again and abducted a woman at a building site.

The woman, identified as Mrs. Benaibi Keboh, was abducted at the building site along Agoloma Road by an unspecified number of gunmen who fled with their victim through a creek in the community.

Meanwhile, there was palpable fear at the Patani Asphalt Production site of SETRACO Construction company in charge of the East-West road as expatriates and staff of the company, ran for cover while the shooting incident continued.

Denouncing the abduction and calling for the release of the victim, a resident of the community, Mr. Doutimi Fiepre, and a former chairman of Patani Local Government Area, Dr. Chris Ekiyor, while lamenting the activities of the gunmen, called for the immediate release of Mrs Keboh.
