Ibadan – AS part of its efforts to prevent future electoral defeat in Oyo State, some leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the state have said one of the solutions is to refund the money that the party collected from aspirants since no primary was held to pick the party’s candidates for the last election.
Also, they want the party to woo back former governors and other aggrieved chieftains who have left the party.
Among the chieftains that the leaders are calling for their return to the PDP fold are Senator Rashidi Ladoja, Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala and Mr. Seyi Makinde.
This came just as a group demanded for a new PDP that would make internal democracy as its treasured jewel.
These were part of the suggestions given to the Emeka Ihedioha-led PDP Post-Election Review sub-committee which ended its two-day fact finding mission in Ibadan yesterday.
The committee is saddled with the responsibility of finding the factors that caused the loss of the party in the last election.
In addition, the PDP members expressed their discomfort in the choice of Uche Secondus as acting national chairman of the party.
