The Deputy Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Friday Osanebi, has said the desire to serve the people must override any other sentiment in order to “build the Delta State of our dreams.”

Osanebi, who spoke during the inauguration of the 6th Delta Assembly, said since the elections were over, everyone must work as a team with the collective desire and objective of bringing about development and sustainable growth through the instrumentality of legislation.

He said: “I will support Mr. Speaker to provide the needed efficient and purposeful leader-ship in collaboration with other arms of government to positively impact on the lives of Deltans.

“God helping us, we will vigorously strive to foster a cordial working relationship with the executive and the judiciary without compro-mising the independence of the legislature.”
