West Africa, most attractive destination for infrastructure investors — PwC report
Multinational professional services network, Messrs PricewaterhouseCoopers Limited, PwC has singled out West Africa as one of the most attractive destinations for investors in infrastructure. The region’s growing population and its wealth of natural resources were described as the foundation for sustainable economic growth. This declaration was made by Ian Aruofor, PwC CP&I West Market leader at a media parley used by PwC to present its 2014 report titled: “Capital Projects & Infrastructure in East Africa, Southern Africa and West Africa: Trends, Challenges and Future Outlook”.
FRC suspends public hearing on corporate governance code
The Financial Reporting Council has suspended the public hearing schedule for today on the draft National Code for Corporate Governance due to a court injunction obtained against the hearing by some shareholders. Meanwhile the Council has dismissed the allegation of division among its board members as well as misappropriation of funds for the take off of the International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS) Academy.
