MAIDUGURI- Sporadic gunshots and explosions, Wednesday evening rocked Maiduguri, the capital of Borno state.
The incident which started at about 5pm forced many residents on the outskirts of the town including , Giwa Military Barracks, University of Maidugur, Dalori quarters, Molai area among others, to scamper to safety. Thousands of them were however prevented from running into town by the military men who mounted road blocks.
