Lagos—Two men, Ismaila Oladosun, 28, and Monday Paul, 35, have been arraigned before an Ikeja Magistrate’s Court over allegations of robbery and firearms.
This came on a day another man, Odutoye Adekunle, 27, was charged before an Ikeja Magistrate’s Court, Lagos, over alleged stealing.
Oladosun and Paul were said to have committed the offence on September 6, 2014, at the Federal Highway Patrol Barracks, Ikeja, Lagos State.
They were arraigned on a three-count charge of robbery and firearms before Chief Magistrate A. O. Akinde.
When the matter was read to the suspects, they pleaded not guilty. The plea was, however, not granted by the magistrate, who adjourned the matter till July 14 for mention.
Meanwhile, Adekunle, who was before Chief Magistrate Y. O. Aye Afunwa, was further alleged to have fraudulently converted to his personal use, one 40-foot container, valued at N4,000,000, property of one Chimezie Innocent Obias.
However, when the charge was read to the defendant, he pleaded not guilty.
Magistrate Afunwa granted the defendant bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties that had verifiable addresses and adjourned till July 1.
