ABUJA—CHAIRMAN of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof. Attahiru Jega, yesterday, explained that the decision of the commission not to heed the petition of the All Progressives Congress, APC, by cancelling or rescheduling the presidential election in Rivers State was because the petition lacked merit.
