N10m prize money in NCC Tennis Cup
Telecommunications regulator, the Nigerian Telecommunications Commission (NCC) has rolled out the NCC Tennis Cup, which will see players winning N10m in prize money. Speaking yesterday in Lagos, NCC’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Eugene Juwah, represented by the Director, Public Affairs, Tony Ojobo said the commission was investing in the sponsorship of the competition to achieve its two-pronged objectives of developing the game and arresting youths restiveness.

ABEOKUTA—Magistrate Martins Akinyemi of an Abeokuta Magistrate’s Court, yesterday, ordered a 24-year-old man, Michael Oyejide, remanded in Ibara Prison custody for allegedly raping his 18-year-old friend, Morenike Ajayi, to death.
