Nnewi—The people of Idemili South Local Government Area have endorsed the candidature of Chairman of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Chief Victor Umeh, to represent Anambra Central senatorial district in the Senate, pledging to give him 99.9 percent vote.
Speaking in separate interviews with Vanguard, Chairman of the council, Prince Henry Ezenwa, and the first son of the traditional ruler of Oba, Prince Nuel Ezenwa, said they would vote massively for Umeh.
He said: “The Ngige factor is no more in existence in Anambra State. We have not been sleeping; we have been campaigning. We are going for a landslide victory.
“Honestly, Idemili South is for Chief Victor Umeh. We have resolved to give him our votes because he deserves it.
“The incumbent performed wonderfully as governor of Anambra State. But he went to the Senate to sleep.”
Nuel, first son of Igwe Okpoko of Oba, Igwe Peter Ezenwa, told Vanguard that their community would give 99.9 percent of their votes to Umeh for Anambra Central senatorial seat because of land mark achievements of his party in the state and in their town in particular.
