The Staruf Football Academy will on Friday celebrate five years of its existence. The celebration will hold at the Sharaton Hotels and Towers Ikeja Lagos tomorrow.
The Staruf Football Academy which is an initiative of former Super Eagles first choice Goal keeper Peter Rufai fondly called Dodo Mayana started five years ago, and is aimed at improving the lives of Nigerian and African Youths through sports, particularly football.
Rufai said last night that the Academy with well-grounded professionals teach young stars basics of football skills as well as upgrade in capacity building for coaches and administration. He also said the activities of the day will include: Red carpet, formal presentation of Staruf Academy, Recognition and awards of great supporters of football, American auction, cutting of cake and fund raising.
He has enjoined all stakeholders to be at the Lagos event to celebrate Staruf Academy at 5 Friday.
