Jos—A former Chairman of the Arewa Consultative Forum, ACF, Lt. Gen. Jeremiah Useni has debunked insinuations that the body is against the re-election bid of President Goodluck Jonathan, saying officials were only canvassing personal opinion.
Useni who is also the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Plateau South Senatorial candidate in the forthcoming senatorial elections has also expressed joy that insinuations that the state would be torn to pieces during the recent primary elections did not come to pass.

“I am happy with the conducts and results of just concluded PDP primary elections. People thought Plateau will be torn into pieces by the result of the exercises but Plateau people showed their true peaceful nature.
“I urge the electorate to continue to exhibit same conduct in the general elections in 2015. I sympathize with the victims of the unfortunate bomb blasts in Jos. I appeal to the perpetrators of these evils to desist from such.
“I also urge all citizens to support President Jonathan in his re-election bid so that he can continue and complete the good works he has started.”
Useni also commended President Jonathan for picking the incumbent vice-president, Namadi Sambo as his running mate and called on citizens to continue to pray for Nigeria and the troops combating insurgency so that the nation can overcome and come out stronger than ever.
