By Victor Ahiuma-Young#

ORGANISED Labour yesterday expressed delight that Nigeria had been declared free of Ebola Virus Disease EVD, by The World Health Organisation, WHO, saying “this is a credit to Nigeria and all Nigerians.”

Speaking through the National Union of Textile, Garment and Tailoring Workers of Nigeria, NUTGTWN, labour also commended the efforts and measures taken by the Federal government of Nigeria, State governments particularly the Lagos State government and all stakeholders to curb the spread of the Ebola disease in Nigeria.

In a statement by its General Secretary, Issa Aremu, the union said “It is a mark of good governance that Nigeria applied a bi-partisan national approach to curb and curtail an epidemic of a disease without a cure and record a globally acclaimed achievement.”
