OLEH—A woman leader and mobilizer, Dame Alice Okpokpor, has enjoined all Isoko women in Nigeria to stand behind President Jonathan in next year’s presidential election.
Dame Okpokpor reminded the women that Isoko people have always been known to tow a progressive and positive position on issues that border on moving Nigeria forward. According to her, “ever since the time of the founding fathers of Nigeria, President Goodluck Jonathan clearly stands out as humble, kind and people oriented President.
She said Isoko women all over the world must pray for the President and mobilise their families and friends with the sole aim of ensuring that Goodluck Jonathan returns in 2015 since it is obvious from his performance that God Almighty has raised him to lead Nigeria to thepromised land.”
She assured the women that the administration of Goodluck Jonathan will continue to have positive impact on their lives through initiatives such as micro-credit schemes for indigent women and widows.
She thanked the President for appointing Dr. Sharon Ovie as a member of UBEC and urged him to appoint more Isoko women into positions
of authority.
