In order to correct the false impression by an online report of former President Ibrahim Babangida’s “grave” state of health after President Goodluck Jonathan’s courtesy visit to him in a German hospital on Sunday, a close associate of the former President has disclosed that IBB is doing fine.

The press statement says that IBB is on a routine medical check-up on his famous “Radiculopathy case,” an injury he sustained during the Biafran war for which he had a back operation in a German hospital years ago while he was still in office.

The statement says: “From time to time, IBB goes to his doctors in Germany for routine medical review, and that’s why he’s in the hospital there right now”.
