Fashola amends urban/slum law

Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State, yesterday, signed a bill on the amendment of section 50 of the Lagos State Urban and Regional Planning and Development Law 2010, into law.

While signing the bill into law at the State House, Ikeja, the governor explained that the amendment became necessary following the wound-up of the World Bank-assisted project on the Lagos Metropolitan and Urban Development and Governance Project, LMDGP, last year.
